The reptiles and amphibians deserve their own thread. Here’s a spot for your herpetological photos of interest.

How about a black threadsnake from Costa Rica? Not a worm. Found on the sidewalk in a Liberia office park walking back from a brewery to the airport hotel after a downpour. So stoked to have seen this. Wish I could post the video. That’s my 8 year old’s finger.

no pics, being I was surfing...at G-Land (Grajagan, Java), when a 3' striped sea snake slithered across my board, brushed my thigh and kept going. The bad news is there is no antidote for sea snake venom and death is immediate, the good news is their mouth is very small and they are not agressive...knowledge which did not stop me, as my Aussie buddy remarked, yelping like 'a gal who found a bush spider running up her dress'...

Thank god folks aren't sharing Herpes pictures. On the other hand Pimple Popping vids are amazingly successful for Dr Pimple Popper
After I posted I realized the visual of the title of my thread is a bit different than I meant in my brain/family where snakes and frogs are considered cool and frequent topics of discussion. But then I thought, I’m okay with that.

I probably have a few...

Same trip, ungrateful gopher snake for me saving him from certain roadkill.

Such unusual coloration. Handsome snake.
I've never seen that type of green before or since. Was talking to Amy at D Angler and she was telling me that they see a few like that every year.

From our front yard last Spring.

When you're float tubin' in this part of the state, you never know what might be floatin' out there with you.
It slays me how that thing looks to be practically sitting on a pane of glass. Otherworldly and unsettling. Are rattlers hydrophobic? Made of CDC? Did you dust it with fumigated silica powder?
