Got my boat out for the first run of the season today. Tired and lots to do still, so full report likely in a day or so after processing fish, cleaning the boat, etc etc.

Ended up with 26 before noon then stopped for a deep drop for bonus sable fish on the way in. Radio chatter and talking at port indicated most boats struggled today. I truly think the flies in the spread make a huge difference.

I also got my new custom glass 12wt @FlyHunt built for me good and bent today. I think it actually accounted for like 8 of the fish. Both on the troll and retrieving flies.

Bonus stop on the way in for sable fish. Picked up 4 pretty quickly before heading in to port.

That’s some very solid offshore fly action. Looks like just a solid trip all around. Well done, skipper.
