How does it cast compared to the Colton Leviathan X 14wt or the TFO Bluewater SG HD? What grain weight fly line does it load/cast best with? How much lifting power does it have when you're fighting a fish (how deep does it bend under load)? Did you land any marlin on it?


Sorry for the barrage of questions lol, I'm just really curious about this rod — can't find much info on it online. Planning to buy it by the RED WHITE BLUE TICKET and use it for bluefin tuna here on the East Coast.

I only wish I could answer any of those questions, but I cannot. The rod has not left my house since it arrived (and I don't have near the room to air this beast out). I have a trip for albacore planned later in September. I'll probably test it out then. The trip for marlin is early November. I am not a person who casts a bunch of rods and can give a lot of comparison notes. I have gone through more 12 weights (due to breakage) than any other rod weight I think though, hmmm. Usually more low- to mid-range rods though.
