This isn’t a very good time of the year for trout fishing here (I live in SE PA), and I’d expect that the water temperatures on the Beaverkill would be close to being too warm to fish during the middle of the day now. There might be some fishing there in the early morning or later in the evening (you could check with a fly shop in Roscoe), but I, personally, wouldn’t waste money on a guide.Does anyone have a guide recommendation to fish the Beaverkill or any other river 2 hrs from NYC?
This time of year? I’d look to saltwater instead.Does anyone have a guide recommendation to fish the Beaverkill or any other river 2 hrs from NYC?
How about throwing a small leech or stimulator in a pond on Central Park for panfish…just for grins & giggles?…This isn’t a very good time of the year for trout fishing here (I live in SE PA), and I’d expect that the water temperatures on the Beaverkill would be close to being too warm to fish during the middle of the day now. You‘d probably find somewhat cooler water temps, and perhaps a bit better fishing, over on the West Branch of the Delaware (above Hancock, NY) which would be another 30 minutes (more or less) from the Beaverkill and Roscoe, NY, probably 2 1/2 hours from NYC.
I don’t have any recommendations on guides, as I don’t use them, but there are many in the area.
We are spending two nights in Montauk…salt water might be a good idea…This time of year? I’d look to saltwater instead.
Actually, it might be reasonably good. How about throwing a small leech or stimulator in a pond on Central Park for panfish…just for grins & giggles?…
Definitely going to give it a shot…Actually, it might be reasonably good.
