Rashada sues Napier, UF booster over NIL deal

The former Florida football recruit is suing coach Billy Napier, along with a big-time Gator booster and others, claiming they defrauded him by backing out of a promised $13.85 million agreement after he had turned down offers tied to other programs.

Hopefully they learn a lesson from the NFLPA...and do it like the MLBPA did.
Marvin Miller got baseball players a better structure for their union, a better deal all the way around.
 
Frankly I am over all this crap. I just wish the P4 and G5 would just break apart. Its beyond stupid for the mid majors to try and compete against the money machine. When "college kids' are sticking in school over the NFL draft because their NIL money is better then is over for me.

And the reality is that a load of P4 schools are really not bringing anything to the table, they are merely along for the ride but getting good money to do so.
 
Not a great slate of games on the 24th, but kickoff is nine days away.
Hopefully the Mariners will be 7 to 10 games out of first place by then.

Sept 28 and Oct 26 should bring a ton of eyeballs to mutt football….going to miss the regional aspect of the Pac. Sad to see it go down like this. I’ll put another UW sticker on the Clack now. This one will have a cowboy on it, no purple. Sorry SF.

The "Husky - Weber State game" recorded on Comcast yesterday because I have had it set up from previous years. When I reviewed it last night it turned out to be a long-ass interview with a former Husky bb star. Every so often there would be a break where there was an announcement that said
COMCAST DOES NOT CARRY HUSKY FOOTBALL ON THE B1G CHANNEL. CALL COMCAST AT 1-800-....
The Cougs recorded fine on the CW TV channel. Just one more way the new college sports chaos is biting fans.

Comcast knows a real team when they see one .
 
Had to go to a Bar and Grill to see the UofO Ducks and Idaho. Looked good at the 3rd quarter, but then Idaho woke up. Ducks won in the end. I guess Washington, Oregon and California had a blackout per Big 10 on Comcast. I got rid of Cable a long time ago, but it was blacked out on Paramont+ streaming, too. :mad:

Yup, is turning their backs on the hometown fans a good long term strategy?
 
I just said “YouTube Washington versus Weber State football live” into the Comcast remote and watched the game that way.
Also watched some of the Oregon / Idaho game as well.
The broadcast was kind of odd, but it served the purpose. Might have had something to do with it being streamed.
