That's a great shot. It lends itself to a lot of different storylines
There was a swarm of swallowtails but they were sure skittish and didn't cooperate. Looks like the one on the bottom just missed being lunch I think.

Back yesterday from a road trip to Walla Walla with FIL & MIL. Mostly winery focused, but also did some sight seeing. Sunset the first night was incredible.
Finally got to see Palouse Falls. Wow!
Below the falls looks like great smallmouth water?
The Palouse wheat country was unexpectedly beautiful.
Also stopped at Wallula Gap to have a mind blown moment. Imagining this "choke point" filled to the top during the Missoula floods. Estimated 1.8 billion gals per second at 50 mph (or roughly 8.9 million cubic yds per second).

Yeah, I did know that. Even more insane now that I've seen it myself.
Gorgeous! In the first one, did a giant half a hollowed out log just wedge itself in there like a water slide? That’s amazing.

Sure did! It looks like it’s been there for 6 or 7 years. In the last couple it’s become hollowed out and now split. Not much room downstream for when it does finally come loose. Old growth + wild canyon rivers is quite a spectacle.
