I'm liquidating everything and putting it into Ottercoin...crypto is on the otter bandwagon now, so don't delay.
In the spirit of Octoberfest, I was thinking about the logistics of the whole thing and came up with the easiest way for a psychotic otter to grab a child would absolutely be via the child's lederhosen

A sport diver in Southern California is busted taking one Abalone....Huge fines, criminal record and possibly loses his fishing license. For good reason. A Sea Otter at that same location eats all the Abalone (big and small) that he wants, every day all day, 24/7/365. Does this make sense? Yes it does, when you factor in the millions and millions of dollars that are involved in the "Sea Otter" scam. There is big money in "saving the Sea Otters" the well being and health of the reef is simply not relevant.
You misunderstand. The decline of abalone numbers is related to the loss of kelp beds - their critical habitat. That's a scientific fact you could look up, not a random opinion. It would seem that, unless you're suggesting the otters ate all the kelp, you're way off base.

I'm actually listening to this, it's kind of insane.
Yeah, in a small time setting for ones own amusement: It's kinda neat. Beyond that, I don't like this exists. We already have an alarming number of people who will believe anything they see on Facebook. So things like this will be a major net negative in my opinion.

100%

"Trust me bro", locking up three Raccoons in your kitchen and leaving for the weekend will not result in a kitchen that you want to come home to.. Historically this has been done ( in several places) with Sea Otters in places like Pismo Beach. Those that still think that this is a good idea are simply ignorant of history.

I believe the politically correct term is "trash panda."
