Baseball 2025

Tonight's ump wants to see some contact. He's not giving strikes on the edges to either pitcher. Meanwhile Gilbert's spin isn't there tonight. He may be in for a short outing. Yesavage seems to be getting settled, but he threw a lot of pitches in the first two innings, so he may be out before long, too. I like the M's chances in a bullpen battle if it comes to that, but we need Gilbert to hang in there a little longer to get there.

Oh, was Eugenio close to scoring two there... Great catch by the center fielder.

Different game tonight for sure.

Uh-oh... Cal hurt on that great throw to get Clement? That would be sub-optimal.

Nope. Looked okay trying to run down the pop-up. Whew!
 
Guess we will see just how effective that bullpen can be. After the 15 inning win and the strain it put on the pitching staff I was really hoping the M's could steal a victory in Toronto. Can they steal two?

Like Jeter said last night after the game... they didn't steal one... they earned it by doing what nobody thought they could. Would be the same story tonight... who saw 6 runs coming by the long ball today?

Back to the action, Bazardo is more than just a cool name... dude has been nails!
 
The 'talking heads' were saying the Jay's had the advantage because they kept the ball in play vs. the M's long ball style of hitting.
