Baseball 2025

After a number of weeks of wondering who's going to be the next man to step up it was nice today to see the cream rise to the top. Castillo nearly untouchable for 7 innings and Julio clearing the bases to put the game away. It's enjoyable to have what appears to be a pretty good team to root for. Especially after a 3-7 start to the season.
 
What ever happened to those formidable Dodgers that were supposed to run away with the World Series this year? They are just pathetic having played .400 ball for the past 2 weeks and have looked bad doing it. Their bullpen is like a colander and their starting pitchers can't get out of the first inning without giving up runs. Their massive payroll is producing little better results than some clubs with a fraction of the cash the Dodgers have. Despite being a Dodger fan for over 7 decades I am lovin' it! I don't want to see any team just buy a championship, win it the old fashioned way via stellar effort. The June Swoon came early this year....
 
Aaron Judge may end up having an unprecedented season when all is said and done but hard to make a case that anyone is more valuable to his given team right now than The Big Dumper. Great game tonight.
 
Tonight, one of the best Mariners game I have seen in a long time. Outstanding pitching, by a rookie! Hitting spot on by many players. Fielding was top notch too.

Sure is pleasurable to watch when the team is clicking on all cylinders and in the same game.
 
One hell of a game last night. Quite the highlight reel.

Caught the last couple of innings after watching a great pitcher's duel with Royals beating the Tigers 1-0. Seattle looked like they were going to blow it again, but came through nicely in the 10th, correction, 11th inning. The Royals fans send thanks to the Mariners!!

Sure is fun watching Cal Raleigh play baseball right now. His MLB leading 23rd home run may have made the most noise but that throw to second to cut down a runner trying to steal in the ninth was a thing of beauty.
 
That was needed. Hope that is the version of George Kirby that we can now expect. Their pitching has to dominate.
 
It's about the middle of June and the Mariners are only one game back of .500 They are having an above average season.
