Bamboo Fling

I can bring a 13' Sharpes two hander for anyone who wants to try old school long belly spey casting.
As long as it is bamboo (wink) bring it. I am sure I am not the only one that would like to wiggle it. I have what I think is an ole English salmon rod I am planning to bring. Dinnis Stone made a new tip section for me a few years ago.

Probably won’t be done by the ‘Fling’ but maybe if a lot of rain. Payne 102 8’ 2 piece 5 wt with two tips. Do you write this as 2/2?

Yes, that's the standard shorthand for a two piece, two tip. And that's one of my favorite tapers, enjoy!

Looking forward to the fling! Will bring my Kelty Sunshade we can setup if it rains hard. Forecast says morning rain, but it's still enough days out and will probably change.

Glad I just checked again. I was thinking it is this Saturday, but it is Sunday, June 12, 11 AM at Cascade View Neighborhood Park in Redmond. OK, got it on my calendar, and Mrs. Salmo is off with daughter to a chick concert at the Gorge. Since it's in the middle of the day, is picnic lunch fare appropriate? Do you regulars bring a sack lunch or some picnic supplies and fare like chips, potato salad, hot dogs, etc.? Guessing that any alcohol must be discreet or even taboo? Asking cuz a growing boy's gotta' eat.

Some guy brings alcohol.. I don't know who he might be though...

On Sunday there's a 24% chance of rain between 11am to 5pm increasing to 48% chance of rain after 5pm. Looks acceptable now but we need to keep an eye on the weather. Not sure how many people will want to show up if it's raining.

just got back from a week of fishing Lake Curlew up near Republic WA. Looking forward to seeing everyone Sunday. Will be doing my final sort tomorrow. I will bring some soda on ice.

What's the name of the park again, although I remember where it is of course! Hopefully it will be as nice outside as it is today! See you guys tomorrow!
