After lining up one of my rods with Dave Westburg's 406 5wt DT I decided that these are VERY nice casting on bamboo. I ordered a DT and WF 5 for myself yesterday. I'm looking forward to using these lines on my next outing on the water.

Mike, that's the line I'm recommending to anyone who asks for my opinion nowadays. I describe it as a line that works really well on all my bamboo rods which sets it apart from my other lines I've found over the years which tend to pair up well with a particular rod or two but are not ideal on others. It feels somewhat thinner, a little like the Sylk, but with a more "normal" feel than Sylk, if that makes any sense. I just fished my 406 6DT on my 8-1/2' Carlin on Silver Creek Friday and the Owyhee on Saturday and never once felt like I was under-gunned covering all the water with my dry/dropper or indicator with two small nymphs. Very versatile. BTW, I'm sorry I missed this Fling. Looking forward to seeing everyone and their bamboo at another one soon, hopefully! After lining up one of my rods with Dave Westburg's 406 5wt DT I decided that these are VERY nice casting on bamboo. It was fascinating but I never touched a fish even though they were rising all around. At a couple times a fish that was probably 23" was finning directly under my rod tip, completely uncaring about my presence. My hand was covered with micro BWOs hatching, probably #24-#26. My size 20s looked massive in comparison and the trout ignored them. All said, it was great to finally experience it and it essentially met my expectations which was to get skunked in a beautiful setting.Well, you guys convinced me....I just ordered a couple of 5 and 5 wt DT lines from 406. How was Silver Creek? I really enjoyed a day of fishing there, but I'm pretty sure I spooked more fish than I hooked. I was impressed how friendly the other anglers were also
