So, this is similar to "what are you listen to"...

Generally I figure it is going to be a great fishing trip if I here AC/DC as either the first song on the radio driving away from home or last song arriving at the lake or stream.

And yesterday the Aussie's set a world record! Love this!

Love it, great song!
My buddy and I used to fish a place called Devil’s Canyon. I usually drove and insisted on blasting Hells Bells as we neared the trailhead. Some songs never get old.

Here's the song I like to stick in my head before headin' out fishin'.

When i was a kid, i had an am transistor radio that I carried in my tackle box…there were two songs that i thought were good luck for fishing if I heard them…”It’s A Beautiful Morning” & “Sitting On The Dock Of The Bay”

Today, just about any song with a great guitar solo…especially from this dude

So after I sobered up I was driving to a running race one day and this came on. It was my first age group win. Since then it's been a magic song. On the way to a bike race in Longbranch one year this came on and I told the guys I'd be state champion on the way home. I was. Whenever I heard it on the way I'd be on the podium. Usually an indicator of a good fishing day ahead, and not a bad earworm tune. Love Foghat.

I had this 8 track in my vw van in high school...

The pipes…the pipes…they are a callin’

Damn, ain’t that great. Oh to be in the highlands one more time before I go downriver.
Scotland and the Highlands call to always! We try and attend games scream times a year.

From three age of 12 I had wanted to go to the Edinburgh Royal Tattoo, and after a tour several years ago, my wife fell in love with Scotland. So last year we went to the Tattoo, and toured with my ancestral clan group and then rented a car and toured more. And now we're looking at going back next year with friends. Planning a month (maybe more).

I hope you get to return!

If not my favorite AC/DC song, it's definitely in the top three. I find it interesting that if you see their original video of this song way back in the day, you see a lot of the crowd walking around them in the street as if they're a nuisance. They came a long way.

There are still radio stations that play music?
106.5 out of the tri-cities. I can listen to the same music on the way to school (and all day) KZOK played 45 years ago when driving to high school. I listen to radio a lot.

My brother lives in Melbourne, and as a kid he really, really wanted to learn the bagpipes. My parents wouldn't go there, but did get him a chanter. Dude played that thing for about a week before putting it in a drawer and moving on to D&D and Trac Ball.. Fortunately after that he stopped listening to Styx and Foreigner, ended up getting into Jimi Hendrix....We were worried about him for a while. Then his nutsack presumably started cranking out some T and he realized he would need to up his game significantly to impress the ladies...gonna ask him how he felt about this record smash this weekend. I suspect there could be some respect, pride and regret all mixed in together, could be emotionally touch and go....

Heard Jimi Hendrix at the Spanish Castle on under 21 nights several times. This was before he hit the big time but i knew he was special, even then. Listened to lots of other bands too; Beach Boys, Wailers, and Sonics to name a few. Later married the owners daughter. Jimi Hendrix childhood home is not far from where I live.
