It was a great Super Bowl experience all round…my second one. While I was rooting for the Bengals, I really didn’t have a dog in the fight…so congrats to the Rams…and happy Cooper Kupp was the MVP.

While I’m not a fan of hip hop (I’m a blues guy), the halftime show totally rocked…especially live while being there…and it is incredible how fast they set up and break down the show…that was really impressive BEDA3822-2F33-4661-AAD8-D7E2CB0A8F5B.jpegC2C0618F-8EAD-484C-BB18-7427328D23A8.jpeg87512AEE-A33D-4884-B5E5-A742E5FDAE7D.jpegD950AA4F-9BEC-412F-90A0-D40433F45F2D.jpeg

I would have loved to see an F-4 Phantom included. About 12 years ago an F-4 and F-16 "heritage flight" pair performed at the Olympia Airshow. It was great seeing one in the sky again. Watched them all the time as a kid.
The P51 was the heritage bird. The 4 jets flown in formation from different active or Guard squadrons are what made it unusual, and special.

The F4 would be appreciated by many my age that served.

Can't disagree except to say that Mary J Blige was friggen awesome.

Did my wife hack your account? She loved her as well.

I hadn't listened to her much so was kind of indifferent.

Look at those thighs.

I can't say I have ever listened to any of her albums, just a few singles here and there. But Family Affair was sorta the theme song of my early 20s hitting the bars every weekend phase. Funny how certain songs can act as time machines for the brain.

They set up a mini Inglewood for the set. I thought it was great.

Just in case anyone hasn't seen that amazing show yet!

I enjoyed watching the game. I was rooting for the Bengals, but I am happy for Matt Stafford. Halftime didn't do anything for me. The Rams deserved to win, but it was disappointing that flags started flying for things that the refs were allowing for over 3 quarters.

Those 4th quarter flags were brutal but they looked legit in the replays. How about the no call on the Bengals receiver on their TD to open the second half? Should have been offensive PI
I was pleased to see few penalties but the one’s they did call really effected the game

I liked the fact that they mostly let them play. The refs didn't affect the outcome of the game. There are always going to be missed calls in every single game.

For some of us, that half time show was 1992-2003 rolled into one concert. I enjoyed it quite a bit.

It’s also nice to know I’ve morphed my “dad” bod with the musicians of my youth. Fifty can’t quite pull off the tank top anymore :). Also, Mary J Blige is the best. One of the most underrated female vocalist of all time IMO. It’s a cover but if her version of I’m going down doesn’t give you goose bumps, check your pulse.

I agree with you @mems, the refs aren't perfect and the human element is part of the game. But there was shirt pulling and PI going on the entire game.

Anyway, I forgot to mention that I thought it was hilarious that the Bengal's place kicker stayed on the field during halftime so he could watch the show.

That was funny

Wanted Cincy to win, but figured the Rams were the better team, worked out the way I thought it would.
Canceled the fubo subscription after the game, will resume at the start of next season.
:)
