Jalen Ramsey … not so much …
I got notified through a bulletin for airshow nerds that the pregame National Anthem would include a flyover by a "heritage flight"; an airshow fan favorite, in celebration of 75th years of the US Air Force as a separate military branch.I have no idea if they sing the Star Spangled Banner before the game or not but if they don't, I think the NFL is making a mistake allowing what they do and not allowing what they should.
I did just watch the halftime show on YouTube and thought it was quite good. I'm not a big rap fan but listened to a bit in high school. I thought Dre and Snoop were great. Could have done without 50 Cent and Lamar, but overall I thought the show was definitely better than a good many I have seen in years past. I imagine if you just flat out dislike rap then you're not going to like the show, but as far as live hip hop goes I thought it was great.
Snoop was awesome.
My wife suggested I turn on the subtitles. That wouldn't have helped. I was at the tying bench and could only hear it. I did pump out a couple of Carey Specials. That half time show sucked. They hold their mouth up to the mike so you can't understand what they are mumbling.
I would have loved to see an F-4 Phantom included. About 12 years ago an F-4 and F-16 "heritage flight" pair performed at the Olympia Airshow. It was great seeing one in the sky again. Watched them all the time as a kid.I got notified through a bulletin for airshow nerds that the pregame National Anthem would include a flyover by a "heritage flight"; an airshow fan favorite, in celebration of 75th years of the US Air Force as a separate military branch.
I was out cleaning the roof when the game started and came in to watch the National Anthem. As OMJ mentioned it was an overly complex arrangement that fans (I) couldn't sing along with however the presentation by the NFL and NBC was respectful.
The flyover was a rare five-ship diamond formation with a P51 Mustang flying lead, an A-10 Thunderbolt, a F-16 Fighting Falcon, a F-22 Raptor, and a F-35 Lightning.
Go Air Force!
I wish the whole show would've just been Dre and Snoop.
