NFR 2021/22 NFL Football

Non-fishing related
I thought it was an entertaining SuperBowl game because it wasn’t a blow out . I am disappointed Cincinnati didn’t win.

Don’t know what to think of Russell sitting with Roger Goodell though. Is that normal?

I liked some of the halftime show but it was for starters a confusing set. Snoop Dog! I do really like Eminem’s song “Lose Yourself” . It used to be a favorite on one of my running playlists.

Time to watch Olympic ice skating!

A glorious Super Bowl 56 win for the LA RAMS! Congratulations coaches, players, and executives!

The Bengals fought hard and had a great 2021 season and playoffs. Well done Zac.

70 years ago the LA RAMS won the 1951 NFL Championship 24-17 over Otto Graham's Cleveland Browns. Norm Van Brocklin threw the game winning touchdown to Tom Fears.

Today, Matt Stafford connects with Cooper Kupp for the game winning touchdown and Super Bowl title #2 for the LA RAMS (their first Lombardi in Los Angeles).

Congrats DimeBrite for having your team finally win. As I remember from a while back that is always fun. And thank you for having enough class to refrain from talking about it for the next 6 months.

LA seemed to have more big-name players and I just didn't see Cinci winning even though I kinda wished they did. They did put up a good battle. But I was rooting for Kupp (and the former UW players on the Rams team). I'm glad he won the MVP of the game. Aside from the catches, yards, and two TDs, he also blocked well, had three penalties called in his favor, extending drives. He also ran for a first down. Very cool to see a local boy have the success he did this year. I'm glad it was a competitive game. I'm also glad that football is over and we can turn to some fishing. Regarding the halftime show, I don't believe I have ever watched a halftime show of any Super Bowl. I have no idea if they sing the Star Spangled Banner before the game or not but if they don't, I think the NFL is making a mistake allowing what they do and not allowing what they should.

Was fishing today so didn't watch the game. Listened to the 4th quarter on my drive home. I wanted Cinci to win, oh well. Congrats to the Rams. Hard not to like Stafford so can't be too disappointed, even if I hate the Rams.

I did just watch the halftime show on YouTube and thought it was quite good. I'm not a big rap fan but listened to a bit in high school. I thought Dre and Snoop were great. Could have done without 50 Cent and Lamar, but overall I thought the show was definitely better than a good many I have seen in years past. I imagine if you just flat out dislike rap then you're not going to like the show, but as far as live hip hop goes I thought it was great.

Snoop was awesome.

I got notified through a bulletin for airshow nerds that the pregame National Anthem would include a flyover by a "heritage flight"; an airshow fan favorite, in celebration of 75th years of the US Air Force as a separate military branch.

I was out cleaning the roof when the game started and came in to watch the National Anthem. As OMJ mentioned it was an overly complex arrangement that fans (I) couldn't sing along with however the presentation by the NFL and NBC was respectful.

The flyover was a rare five-ship diamond formation with a P51 Mustang flying lead, an A-10 Thunderbolt, a F-16 Fighting Falcon, a F-22 Raptor, and a F-35 Lightning.

Go Air Force!

I wish the whole show would've just been Dre and Snoop.

That half time show sucked. They hold their mouth up to the mike so you can't understand what they are mumbling.
My wife suggested I turn on the subtitles. That wouldn't have helped. I was at the tying bench and could only hear it. I did pump out a couple of Carey Specials.

Being in Steeler country, I was happy to have the Bungals lose. It was a good game but unfortunate 2 scoring drives were significantly altered by penalties (or one that wasn’t called(, but at least it was one for each team.

I thought the halftime show was really entertaining and well done without being too over the top.

re: halftime show, loved it...one of my favorites. The only one I didn't care for was 50cent only because I don't know any of his stuff and don't like his style. Snoop was his usual smooth self, Dre killed it, Eminem was great, MJB was great, I've never heard any Lamar songs, but his was great too.

What a fun game to watch & action packed on both sides of the ball. I wish the Bengals could have pulled it out but I'm not disappointed that Von Miller got another ring and he played great!

I would have loved to see an F-4 Phantom included. About 12 years ago an F-4 and F-16 "heritage flight" pair performed at the Olympia Airshow. It was great seeing one in the sky again. Watched them all the time as a kid.
