@Mike Cline I agree. I watched a bunch of leeches swim in a biology lab aquarium one time, and I was amazed at both ends of the spectrum...how long and skinny or how short and fat the same leech could be as it moved through the water. It was pretty amazing!

I used to use Silvercreek's UV resin and never had a problem. I don't love Sally's or Superglue (dry time and sometimes cloudy). I tried Hard as Hull for the first time during the Chironomid swap and seemed to work great.

I'll keep my eyes open for you. 4wts are my favorite rod, and I have had them from 7' to 10'. I currently have glass, and multiple plastic 4wts from 7'10" to 9'. I totally get overthinking it. While true, it is part of the fun sometimes.

RCF is spot on. In the last few weeks the following 8'6" 4wts have all sold on the auction site under your $350 budget: Winston BIIIX, Sage SLT, Orvis Recon, Sage Mod, plus lots of others. You might put out a WTB for 8'6" 4wt and see what is offered up.
