    What rivers to avoid

Hi, me and my friend are relatively new to fly fishing and mostly fish in our home river the spokane, but we’re looking to do a couple day camp and trout trip in a week or two. we’re thinking of heading into the cascades maybe but we’re unsure as to what rivers fish poorly or are dangerous this...

    Predator, boost blue, axiom 2x

Yeah i’m thinking of the 84b for my new 6wt. I have an ion xl for now but the short stick is definitely interesting for trout streamers or beach fishing. However, I like the length of the boost blue for my 8wt for salmon and pike.

    Taylor dynamix lines

Hi, I just upgraded my 4wt path combo to a lamson remix and 4wt taylor dynamix due largely to its popularity on this forum and online circles in general. I’m curious what lines people with experience with the rod are throwing? I’m leaning towards the SA infinity but the recommendations on...

8 Wt for Saltwater trips and Carp when I'm home

I started a similar post a couple of days ago. I folded and bought a boost blue for 290 and kept shopping and ended up pairing it with a three pack lamson liquid s. Should be an awesome setup for bass, pike, and coho 🙈 Additionally, I’ve been searching extensively for 8wts the last couple of...

    Predator, boost blue, axiom 2x

Thanks, I think the faster action of the boost blue will better than the predator. I’m impressed for sure with the over lining your able to pull off too that’s probably similar to almost 3 line sizes up too

    Predator, boost blue, axiom 2x

Yeah thanks so much, I think i’m leaning towards the boost blue mostly cause my 8wt lines are both shooting head OBS and titan long and it just seems right. Also the 84B is a super interesting rod I think it’ll be a future purchase for sure for me in a 6wt for wading and kayaking with trout...

    Predator, boost blue, axiom 2x

Hi, i’m searching for a faster 8wt in the 300$-400$ range to replace my redington wrangler mostly for bass, pike, and beach coho (great rod but felt like a noodle with OBS). Sorry i’m basically posting this again but I’m asking about a few different rods this time around 😅 I already asked about...

    echo Boost blue or 84B

I’ve narrowed down my 8wt search with some googling lol and saw that the axiom 2x and redington predator were both same price as the boost blue. 😅 Any experiences with those? might also have to move this back to the main forum too.

    echo Boost blue or 84B

Hi, i’m looking to upgrade my redington wrangler 8wt rod with a faster action rod in the 300$ range. I’m looking at the echo 84b and the boost blue but I can’t decide which is better for my uses. No local shops carry them so I’m a little stuck not able to try either. I’m wondering if you have...

Beach fishing for coho in Seattle MA10

Thank you so much, yeah I have an 8wt with titan long and intermediate OBS or I also have a 5wt vice that I planned on buying OBS floating for sea runs anyways. I could bring either or both if the 8 is too overkill. Especially, if I'm throwing 4-6 size flies maybe the 5wt would be better?

Beach fishing for coho in Seattle MA10

Hi, I'm a college student and have some free time in a week or two and saw the opening for coho in MA 10 started on June 1st. I also have zero beach fishing experience or salmon fishing in general, I have an 8wt and OBS spooled up from some pike and bass stuff, but was wondering if early June...

    lake washington

Hi y’all i’m relatively new to the forum, I recently moved to uw from eastern washington for college and i’m missing out on SRC on the beach because it’s a harder commute and a whole days trip during the quarter. I was wondering if anybody has had any luck on lake washington from the shore for...
