Another place if you find yourself hunger after battling the throngs of humpy hunters at a certain West Seattle park would be Lady Jaye on California Ave.

If you're gonna go all the way to the Junction, consider Dumplings of Fury.
If you don't want to go out of your way, Taquitos Feliz taco truck at the 76 by Lincoln Park is solid. Better than El Camion which is up near Endolyne Joe's.

Will have to stop by again this winter. I know for a while during the Obama administration they were shuttered.

Stopped by there one time and they had shot-up Obama targets on the walls inside, posters, etc. A couple of months later shuttered and stayed shuttered for a while. Haven’t checked on them but glad to hear they’re back. Regardless of politics/worldview, more than a few of my dollars are on their ceiling and I love the burgers.
Depending on the time of your last trip, the owner may have changed. Food and politics are the same.

Try McSafeway's, they're all over the place. ;)
We sometimes car camp and run into the nearest town for eats. Since many of those towns only have a burger joint or a hole in the wall the serves soda cracker crust pizza, we often turn to the local grocery stores deli section for dinner.

If you find yourself on I-5 heading south into the interior of California some summer day, beat down from the drive in 100-degree heat, try Granzella's just off of I-5 in Williams, CA for some deli and a cold one.

For a burger and a malt, the Sugar High in Ennis Montana.

If you're not fond of grunge and want to fish Pyramid Lake and the Truckee River in Nevada and don't mind making a run out to fish each day, try staying at the Silver Legacy Hotel Casino (Reno) and hit the Brew's Brothers or La Strada for dinner.

Yesterday I went to the Fat Burger inside the Swinomish Casino on Hwy 20. I have never gone to that casinos, but I wanted something different. $10 for a half pound burger and $5 for fries. Worth every penny. [Pulp fiction reference] " That is one tasty burger".

Food is what matters when I walk into a restaurant.

I don’t care what anyone else believes about anything so long as it doesn’t lead them to harm others. Vive la difference.

Cle Elum bakery. I always stop by and buy a dozen cookies when I'm in the area. My family has been going there for 50 years and almost nothing about that business has changed.

On the way back, we always go to Mountain High Hamburgers in Easton, which is probably in my top 3 favorite burger restaurants

Glondo's in Cle Elum is a great place to stop by. Been going there since late 80's. I always pick-up some salami and beef jerky to munch on when streamside. I also get some sausage to cook up for dinner and/or breakfast.

How does Owen's fare compared to Glondo's? Haven't been to Glondo's before

Chuck's Donuts in Renton Highlands. Friends rave about their maple bars. I luv their apple fritters and filled donuts.

My friends like Owen's better because Owen's is a full service meat market. I like Glondo's better for it's hand crafted family recipes. It really comes down to taste and what you are looking for.. Can not go wrong with either...

There’s nothing wrong with stopping at the local eats, but for my money…I like to bring some crackers, a couple of different cheeses, apples or grapes, some summer sausage and/or dry salami, and an ice-cold beer…

Another ice-cold beer and fine cigar under a shade tree streamside watchin’ the water flow and the wildlife doin’ their thing.

Best eatery there is…imo. 😉

I’m all about that! But I usually eat my lunch for a snack and snacks for lunch, then start drinking and need more food for the way home.

That is the lunch “euro style”…
Snacks are on the way home.

Ps: donuts throughout the day.

Great Kielbasa to smoke for poker parties.
Also:
Hard to stay under $50.00. But well worth the trip. Carek's in Roslyn will hand cut steaks and is an old school experience.
Owen's has commercial packaging with more variety. But I like Glondo's kielbasa for the rough grind. Owen's cheese filled kielbasa can burn lips if eaten before cooled. I really appreciate Washington's coal mining cultural history.

My MIL is Portuguese and really likes Glondo's kielbasa. Reminds her of when she was growing up. Glondo's beef jerky is the best I have had anywhere.

Will have to checkout Carek's now.
