Inspired, I took the Leonard 66H out today. A 5/6, it was super for throwing double bead indicator rigs and weighted streamers.

Forgot to roll the loop on a new leader in my fingers and it froze open.

Took my 9' Phillipson 7 weight bamboo rod to throw streamers for bull trout today. It was so cold that my streamer froze solid during lunch. Cut the day short because my feet got cold. One fish to hand. This little guy didn't seem bothered by the cold as he flitted around looking for lunch scraps.

Leave it to someone who used to own several wild birds unlimited shops to identify the bird. It was a winter wren. It was all puffed up which my daughter the biology major says is a way to stay warm in cold weather.

That's a beautiful rod. I almost bought a Leonard from Ray Gould years ago but I chickened out. Regret that.
