I'll be making my own from now on with the coconut coir, most of the bagged mixes use peat which is the bitch to rehydrate. For seeds I was using a product called Redi-Earth with good results
Can’t seem to find it so I’ve now been using 1 part coco coir
1 part vermiculite
1 part pumice or perlite
That’s it
Easy to hydrate and working well
You grow a LOT of plants
What kind of peppers are you growing? And is your climate so bad you need a greenhouse year round?Sorry, my phone or internet wigging out. Posting was a challenge and this was the result. Sorry for double post

A sort of time lapse since late January. Way too early. I was romanced into it bythe new lights and heat mats
Yeah peak of the market when wafer board was $70 sheet funny since a decade ago it was $17.Peppers- scorpion, Carolina reaper, 7 pot, Thai, Korean, aji limo, aji Amarillo, Tabasco, transylvania hot, and a couple I'm forgetting I think. I'll add jalapeños later on.
Nah, I can grow outside. Frost free from around may 15 to October 15.
But the greenhouse offers many benefits.
My chickens can't get in and mess up the garden.
Deer can't get in, which is a big deal. They've ruined everything I've tried to plant outside. My raspberry and Blackberrys are toast this year. They eat my apple tree buds and shoots also.
Longer growing season. I can gain 2 weeks early and later.
And my soil in the pasture is very clay heavy. I've tried to amend, but that would be expensive and time consuming to do it right.
That 33' greenhouse was only like 600 bucks, and good quality. For the nylon reinforced plastic and metal frame. The lumber for the base cost me more, bought at peak of market.
This is incredible.
Well then, that makes senseBack in the day I was a horticulture teacher for a number of years. So now a hobby that, luckily, I have the right setup for. Fresh produce right around the corner!!
It’s time to plant chilies and eggplants inside. Onions, peas, Asian greens should already be sown.Needed to be started.
Anybody starting any seeds for a late winter/early spring planting?
That would kill me but I would have a final smile doing it
Your onions look really well bulbed. This is my first year doing onions and I have scoured the net looking for the proper time to plant outside. Well we have snow forecast again for this weekend and our ground is slop. Everything I can find says plant by March 15 because they start bulbing when daylength is around 14, which is end of April. Have you found that if you don't get them planted early enough you get tiny bulbs? I'm growing walla walla and newberg.
A step by step please sirWhat else you got growing buddy? Haha
joking
This is the first year I haven't gone too early on planting. I'm always over grown by April lol.
I built a custom led light this winter.
Got my peppers under it.
A similar light would be like 1000 bucks for the amount of power and proper spectrums.
I run it at like 60%, I'm scared ill burn my plants lol
