I was all about curling at Seattle Granite during the 70's. The teams I would travel with to compete in BC tournaments(bonspiels) were good enough to make a little money. More importantly, at age 19 there was BC Cider, L Blue, and red beer!@Jojo, curling is great fun, I like to watch that. Used to do it up at the Granite Curling Club. I was the novice, I shot lead and had a push broom, the other three guys were good and used straw.
Corn brooms all the way, but occasionally debris from the straw, would send a stone askew, often changing the outcome of a match. So brushes it became.
My brother made it to the World Championship in 1975.
