I knew a Shi Tsu named Sam not long ago. He wasnt all that social. It took me about 3 weeks and he would come to me and curl up next to me on the chair. All I did, was give him a little attention and some scratchins and not demand anything from him... his owners couldn't believe the transition.

Also, he was the biggest of his breed I've ever seen. 14 inches at the shoulder and 24 lbs. I didn't know they for that big, but there he was

I really miss my mutt. He was the sweetest dog and a pretty damn good retriever. "Bought" him for $50 from Hooterville pets in Woodinville back in 95. Not sure if even they still exist. He listened, marked, tracked, flushed and retrieved better than my buddies $300 Chessy. He wasn't really what I would call an athlete, but he got the job done nearly every time.

I was mean and didn't take him fishing. But I took him to the river a bunch as well as a walk in the field every day. Great dog that gave us 12 great years.

On a ride to Dawson City for a Summer Solstice celebration (D2D not a rally ride) I ran across a "Canadian Cowboy" working cattle with his two dogs and a KTM. Dogs would herd, he'd whistle, dogs would load up, and the cattle drive would continue.

Having had previously a Chessie followed by two chocolate Labs, all of which retrieved birds for me, 6 years ago we rescued a “boxer-lab”. When she arrived on the shuttle bus we immediately doubted her breed makeup. Future DNA results revealed that she is pretty much 50-50 AmStaff and Staffordshire Bull Terrier. “Happy” would prefer to be the only dog in the world but loves every human she meets. She is completely worthless and we absolutely love her.

One of the properties i work at has 1000 head of sheep on it. The gp’s that live with the flock- the shepherds say they are bread to think they are the head sheep not dogs. It is wild how they materialize out of the flock to vibe you if you get too close. They just appear out of nowhere,and with out barking or growling , let you know you are too close and not welcome. Just with a stare and a posture. So cool!!

As a former KTM rider and dairy kid, this is awesome. KTMs are way more fun than a cranky horse.
