NFR LIVE, from New York, It's Saturday Night

Non-fishing related

My favorite musical guest on SNL. The Sex Pistols were supposed to play that evening but visa troubles (criminal records on the part of some of the band members) caused Elvis to be a replacement. Allegedly Lorne Greene didn't want Elvis to Play "Radio Radio," and when he stopped one song to start this one, Greene stood right in front of the band during the entire song with single finger up in the air, and Elvis was not invited back for many years.

Lorne Michaels, different Lorne ;)and not sure why he got pissed off about it but I guess originally the record company wanted them to play their popular singles
But then remember this, too? --

So many good character skits, I always got a kick out of the Church Lady.
