SHAD-stravaganza 2022

Daily shad numbers at Bonneville are steadily ramping upward. Is there a threshold you wait for that means it's "Go Time"?

It's go time! I'll be out there as soon as my boat gets a few wiring things fixed. Hopefully later this week and weekend.
 
Ok, here's an odd question.

My daughter is coming in from New Hampshire for a short vacation and we're going to head down to the Coast with my 15' boat and do some Crabbing, probably in Nehalem Bay.

I don't have time to go after them myself before we leave on Sunday, so does anyone know where I can buy a few fresh Shad???

You might try some tackle venders / sport shops if Evan can’t help you.
I’ve seen frozen shad in various stores at times in the bait freezers.

Maybe contact these guys and ask what stores carry their products.
