I didn't watch the game but was surprised by the outcome. Either team will have their hands full with Golden State. All of the talking heads and ESPN gas bags were underestimating the value of the Warriors playoff and championship experience. If they can keep keep Draymond on the floor and not have him ejected for mouthing off to the refs they should win. He is truly the straw that stirs the drink and probably the best facilitator in basketball but his big mouth has already cost Golden State a championship. Can he zip it for the next series? We'll see.
I used to mow his lawn as a young kid, he lived 3 houses away from us.
Great guy, was always really nice to all the kids in the neighborhood, he let us take turns mowing his lawn so all the kids got some cash ....
Go Dubs! I can't see this one going longer than 6 games personally. I mean, it took the Celtics 7 games to win a series against a team with exactly one scorer who played most of the series on one leg, It also took them 7 games in the previous series against a team without it's #2 guy who also happened to be their best closer. What are they going to do against a team that both plays defense, has several guys who can score on their own, the best passing team in the league, the best shooting team in the league and with one of the smartest coaches in the league?
I just can't see it...Miami probably wouldn't fair much better.

I tend to not like every thing that you write. But I have to agree with what you said. I was thinking of 5 games instead of 6. The dubs have the Splash Brothers. And a very good team. They have Green who likes to talk it up and he's a good player in Defense The other two starters ain't to shabby either. Both teams are in for a long flight from coast to coast at least 3 times. That has to wear on any body.
Then they should win every game all the time...I think the Celtics length and defense will carry the day...
And I can't stand Draymond Green...
I used to watch Wes Unseld play. He was a center on the Washington. And he was only 6'7". He didn't take any gruff from anybody. For some odd reason they played the game differently than they do now. Well it just seems that way now. I think that the teams now a day have quicker players.

6 sounds right to me. I think the dubs are the better team, but sound defense always gives them fits. Usually they bog down for a couple possessions then get way to aggressive and start racking up the turn overs. They will be down by 15 at half then get their act together and claw back only to come up a few short in the end. They are good for 2 of those per series.
The Celtics look like they run a similar style offense, they just look a step slower doing it. They better have a bench because the Warriors do. If they try and play their starters extended minutes then Kerr will make sure to work them over at the other end and wear them out like they did Doncic. He got his points but he worked so hard for them he was toast at the end of the game.
Really I just want to see Klay go off a couple games and get another ring after all he's been through the past couple years.

I watched very little basketball during the regular season but have enjoyed the playoffs so far.
Wes Unseld and Elvin Hayes the only names I remember from the opposing team when the Bullets were playing the Supersonics for the championship back in the late 70s. Only he and Chamberlain won the league MVP and Rookie of the Year in the same year. I think his career average points per game are a little low to be considered one of 75 best of all time but he, like Barkley, got a lot out of their short-statured frames and I liked their style of play.
Regarding the finals, its hard to imagine GSW with all their finals experience, starters and bench being beat by the Celtics who don't have anybody that has played in the finals. Roster, coaching, and experience go to the Warriors. Defense goes to the Celtics. I heard that every member of their starting 5 got at least one vote for DPY, which is crazy to think if true. I like most of the players on both sides with the exception of DG but I think he does a lot for his team that don't show up in the stat line. That said, I have reasons for wanting both to win so with that said, I hope it can go at least six games.

Maybe defense WILL carry the day....people are forgetting that Dubs are what, 3rd in team D? or is is second? They've always been right near the top in team D when healthy. The C's are kinda like a bad knock-off of version of the Warriors O.

C's are long on defense. GS is a fantastic offensive team.
I root for he C's but I would bet on GS.
Williams is the key for he C's. He needs to be healthy enough to play 25 good minutes per night.

Should be an interesting series. Some people are citing GSW experience but Curry, Thompson and Green are the only serious players with championship moxie ( yeah I know Iguadola, but at this point in his career is just a body that won't do anything stupid but won't do anything great either). Both teams have been up and down during the playoffs. Games will probably hinge on three point shooting and in that respect I got to give the Warriors the edge
