NBA Playoffs

Injuries can be the key (does anyone think Milwaukee didn't miss Kris Middleton?) as the Toronto Raptors found out in their championship season. Someone mentioned GSW defense but wasn't Boston the top defensive team? Draymon Green is the key to the Warriors defense but he needs to keep his act under control, something he hasn't shown to consistently be able to do. I think the critical player will be Wiggins. It all really depends on how the games are called.
I also find it interesting how the games are spread out with days between games rather than every other day. Could be important.

Charles Barkley predicts the C's. That's the kiss of death....GS def winning now.

Games 1 and 5 Boston
Games 2,3,4 & 6 Warriors
That's kinda how I see it going. But it would be kinda funny to see GS blow another 3-1 Finals.

To be trailing the entire game and have a nice 4th quarter comeback. Says a lot about their coaching and culture.

Ouch. Dubs dared their 30-35% 3 shooters to beat them and they hit at like 55%.

I was surprised how they could score on the Cs D though.

Series of adjustments but the Dubs have a big hole to dig out of now.

yeah, I'm not sure it wasn't more of a Dubs collapse in that 4th. Their spacing ended up being terrible in the 4th and Cs, to their credit hit nearly every single shot. Any time Smart is shooting that well (usually one out of every several games or so, so we'll see how well that ends up), Horford hits a career high in 3s. That's why there are 7 games. Dubs played Taytum very well (although he found other ways to contribute) & his teammates stepped up. Brown was great, not to mention DWhite going off.

I've gotta say though, I don't really enjoy watching these games that are basically 3 or bust.

Still sticking with Dubs in 6. People tend to forget (quickly) that just last year, people were giving Chris Paul his first ring last year after going up 2-0 on the Bucks....ended in 6. Not really worried much....yet.

It’s a good sign that other Celtics stepped up while Tatum was having a bad game…Horford, Brown & Mushroomhead shot big in the last qtr…

Hopefully that was Tatum’s worst game of the series…

In the Championship, the team that wins the first game wins the series 70% of the time…

...and career 30% 3pt shooters don't shoot 50+% from 3 regularly. Who's mushroomhead? is that someone's nickname? or just a derogatory reference?

Taytum will be better, but those other role players that shot lights out, aren't going to do that consistently. If they do, it'll be a quick series the other way.

Dubs in 6

I am looking forward to once we're halfway into this series, more folks will give their "on point" predictions.... (not you....)

I'm not at all surprised Dubs lost game one....didn't expect a 4th quarter collapse, but not surprised in the least in the actual outcome.

White…my wife nicknamed him mushroomhead…

oh, White....gotcha

which one is "time lord"? I keep hearing that referenced too. What are we in the MCU?

Celtics history has many nicknames for their players over the years…Hondo, Chief, Larry Legend, DJ, Lurch…

I’m not exactly sure who Timelord is, but my guess is Horford…he’s the old man on the roster…
