What's in your vise?

I do not like those squirmy wormies. They squirm too much when I try to lash them to the hook and if I crank down on the thread tension to get them to stay put, I cut through them. If there is good trick to getting them tied on, I'd love to hear it.
I think it’s crazy glue…

solid thread base. Yeah, super glue works ok. Just don't use nail polish, they'll disintegrate.

For some reason, I went a little larger. This probably won't get fished until Fall though. Big ole ~15" sucker.

Dub the hook shenk so th material has a wider area to sit on. And or just use glue.

Use wire, not thread. Someone showed me the trick at Wasatch a few weeks ago.
I'll have to try that....I'm never satisfied with my method for my carp clam flies.

You'll need a license to hunt that bucktail...! ;-)
For everything that went into this one? probably. longer shank 4/0 predator hook hanging off the back of a 3" long shank....that's a lot of real estate to fill in.

Anyone ever fished anything like this before? Supposed to be like a dun crawling out of its nymphal shuck. Hoping the butt end hangs low in the water and the parachute part sits flush.
