AKA sky rats.Too bad it wasn't a starling.
Also I would tie some soft hackles with their feathers.AKA sky rats.
I picked up a couple humane rat traps and also had to stop using them out in the open cuz so far I’ve caught 3 squirrels, 2 small birds, and only one rat.***Wildlife lover trigger warning***

Hiked Scott Mountain last week and saw this guy in a dead tree as we approached the end of the hike. Pulled out my phone to take a pic but was too slow. It took off and landed closer. I took a quick shot but couldn't really see it in the pic. Barely got it in frame - drastic crop job

Then it flew even closer to a dead snag and was really checking me out.

Some gray jays around the van the morning before the hike too. Almost got one to land on my hand without even putting food out.

So this owl was very much alert and awake and looking at me. I have to believe it was trying to crap on me, timing the crap right as I was walking under the bird. It missed by inches, and it wasn't exactly a small amount of bird stuff. This ain't no robin or even a crow crap we're talking about.I see more owls in October than any other month near our place...Not sure why
