Been craving black cod so I went and got some. From the fish market, not the cool way, alas. Miso marinade, black rice, cilantro-lime slaw and cucumber salad. Hit the spot.

How long did you marinate the fish? Miso, mirin, sake? @Rickt served his marinated black cod at @Roper's Spring Fling, the fish was delicious, I can see your craving it.

We went on a windward cruise, including stopping at the Waiahole Poi Factory for a plate lunch…pork lau lau, squid luau, lomi salmon and fantastic freshly pounded poi…and the dessert they are famous for, the “Sweet Lady Of Waiahole”, which was a popular tune by Bruddah Waltah back in the day…it is haupia ice cream over kulolo, which is a dessert made from grated kalo (taro), coconut milk & suger…baked for a long time until it turns a slightly brown color which caramelizes the suger…broke da mouth…la dat

For those who are into drying fruit and stuff, ya gotta try a Santa Claus melon.

I happened upon one at a local open air market….could be a new favorite…right up there with bananas and watermelon
