I'm not leaving this valley, quality of life here is fantastic. When I moved here from Seattle in 92 my first week it was 92-100. Thought I would die surveying out of doors. Never got used to it but can live with it.

102 at 4pm clouds and thunderstorms rolled in by 445-5pm 85 and windy as all get out for a few hours. Driving into work this morning it looked like 4th of July with all the lightning. Since then its moved out and clearing off and 80 already

Hearing and seeing boomers today including a lightning strike 🌩 about a mile down the road while driving in Central Pierce.
I'm glad I disconnected my HF and VHF/UHF base radio antennas before leaving home today.

Plenty of thunder, some light rain out here in God's Country.
These sorts of weather events are highly variable, a few miles away it can be a downpour while you're bone dry, or just sprinkles.
Gonna be some fires I'd bet.

The haze at sunrise did make me think smoke but I didn’t smell it in the south end during an early airport run.

That was around 630am in the north end at home. Noticeable smell of camp fire. Don’t notice it in downtown Seattle. Air quality is registering good.
