What you watching. πŸ˜†

Wrapped two things the last 10 days or so.

β€œThe Rip” = bad. Ugh. Horrific plot. Bad execution. Unrealistic sets. Bad, bad. Oh, sure you gave us a tip, take 10% of the cartels 20 million. That’ll work out well for you..

β€œThe Beast In Me” a must watch if you have an interest in seeing how one could overact with chin quivers. Somehow Claire Danes does it. So many plot holes.

So much crap out there now with all the streaming services. They need content and it feels like they rush it all. The structure of a good story but nobody cared to do the finishing work.

Winter is my tv and movie watching time and it’s not been great. Of all the new shows and movies I have watched this winter only Train Dreams, Death by Lightening, One Battle After Another and Adolescents are memorable (but not great). Everything else has been very disappointing including most of the heavily Oscar nominated stuff I have watched.

Maybe I’m just getting old… :).

Your taste and aesthetic has evolved greatly

I'm a big fan of the Game of Thrones series, so I was pretty excited about the new show that premiered a couple of weeks ago. "Knight of the Seven Kingdoms". Clearly, the writer of the show has some sort of bathroom functions fetish. At the beginning of the first episode, we get to see, in graphic detail, a dude taking a violent liquid shit. The next episode, an old man walks out of his cottage naked with a MASSIVE swinging dong, grabs it in his hand and proceeds to take a piss. None of this is relevant to the story, just thrown in for shock value. The funny thing is, aside from the shock value stuff, it's a great show so far.
I'm very happy to report that Episode 3 of "Kinght of the Seven Kingdoms" did NOT have any scenes featuring diarrhea, pee, or giant swinging dongs, just copious amounts of blood. Great episode. The plot thickens.....

Still too gross for me. Be having nightmares!

Been watching Peacock streaming, Taylor Hicks tour all of the individual States and the food that the State is famous for. Otherwise, it is
Dr, Jeff, Rocky Mountain Vet. Good old family programming, no blood, guts or politics. EDIT: Not on Discovery, on Peacock streaming, sorry!

Caught up on the current Lincoln lawyer and Fallout. Fallout did a great job staying true to the game.

We overlooked The Night Manager, The Pitt, and Fargo when they first came out. Can recommend all three now.

I'm a little disappointed in this new trend of streaming shows where each season only has six episodes. A Knight of the Seven Kingdoms is an example of this. Great show, just short. Another is The Madison. Another great show, but only six episodes and it ended kind of abruptly. Both are reportedly scheduled for 2nd seasons, but we'll have to wait at least a year.

Jeanne and I are equally confused by what to watch, so repetition helps one of our memories , so we have been rewatching Outlander. Last watched about 5 years ago once we both be forgettin’ decided to watch again. We are not violence fans and prefer more stylized violence to almost provide a bit of humor as relief

Episode 4 did feature a massive fart, however.

I can't believe nobody has mentioned Paradise yet. It's on Disney/Hulu. Best drama I've seen for years. There have been 2 seasons and they just inked the deal for a 3rd, and final, season. Really good acting and a crazy story line.
