Got a phone call today on the landline from some "officer" with a foreign accent from Homeland Security, he asked for me by name. They wanted to know when a good time to come over and talk to me would be.
"Talk to me about what?"
There's been an investigation of you started up. So when is a good time?"
"There ain't a good time."
"Well then we'll be there within 60 minutes!"
I hung up.
They never showed.
Bummer.

Invite them over with police at your side.

Better yet, your hang-up was the best action...

The investigation is heating up no doubt.

ChatGPT will create scams for anyone. Sheesh..

Landline?

We just moved. Both have cells. But always had a land line. ….that said it’s been packed and we have been without it for 5 days. All we ever get is junk. Think I might cancel it

You must be a liberal left wing extremist.

They came to my house first. Something about using jigs for silvers. I gave them your name.
Yea! Those fuckers came around asking me to teach them. I sicced 'em on Brian.

The other day I got a call and they said they were at the Puyallup Fair in a booth and they needed change. If I could bring some ones, quarters, and dimes, they’d pay me back 150%. When I asked what they sell, they told me they are a family business that sells scones. I hung up.
When you get a call from the scone fam, you know it’s gotta be a phone scam.

My wife would not give up the landline since so many things are tied to that number. After I showed her how much it cost, she relinquished. I added a new cell phone to our family plan (which was free - package deal), named it 'landline' and moved the old number to the new cell.

So we now have a new technology 'landline".

Wife insists on it. The only people that call on it are the two daughters...and Homeland Security. I never answer it 'cause it's never for me.

When orgs insist on me giving them a cell number I give them that one. LOL!
Finally after 55 years we finally got rid of our landline this year .My wife retired from the phone company . She always wanted to keep it , but finally decided it was something we didn’t need anymore.
