Anybody (be they a president or a regular joe) looks like a damn fool trying to sport the haircut style of their youth.

We are talking about haircuts and styles now?
@Salmo_g , have you been hanging out with our old pal Swimmy?

Not about style or fashion. It's about how much of my social security check I should expect to pay for a haircut. The more a haircut costs, the less I have for . . hoodies and home decor.

Man, you guys are dropping some heavy bread on barbers! Save some of that for retirement, there are much better things to spend money on. You can buy an outstanding clipper with multiple combs for under $100 and it will last the rest of your life. I bought an Oster professional model years ago that is built like a tank and I will never wear it out. In about 8 years now I have replaced one comb so my total cost of hair cutting in that time has been about $12. The new models are mostly cordless but mine has a cord and is a heavy robust piece.

Salmo could use a new 'doo...

The Style Renegade has been cutting my hair since my mullet days, close to 35 - 40 years now. He has formerly done some stints with Oster and now with Heiniger. When he went barbershop only and raised his prices, I got grandfathered in at the old rates. When he retires I may have to visit him at the river house…cocktails and cigars afterwards. 😉

My wife does my haircuts, then buys about $100 worth of stuff online. I might be interested in about 30% of what she buys so do the math.. That said me and most of my hair parted ways decades ago. It takes here longer to trim the nose hairs, eyebrows, ear hair and gorilla hair that creeps above the t-shirt neckline than the rest of the haircut.

State Street Barber Shop - Sedro Woolley - $14 (senior rate) for a haircut, plus tip. Great place.

Add me to the list of guys who've had their wives cut their hair since covid. Since she's only got the one customer; she's perfected my cut to the point where I doubt I'd have anyone else do it.
We live out of town, so pre-covid I was going to a small shop with three chairs within the lodge of a nearby gated community. At that time, it was by appointment and the going rate was $25.00 and a tip.

My wife has cut my hair for a long, long time. I cannot remember what I was paying before she started cutting my hair.

I have been shaving my own head for almost 20 years. My boys paid $30+tip for their cuts last week…seems to be the going rate.
