I needed to post this.... like 5 days ago but I didn't. I really enjoyed seeing everyone last Saturday. @Evan B even though it may not have been quite what you imagined it was still a great event.

I wouldn't say it "wasn't what I imagined," just that we tried a few things in the planning that didn't stick. A smaller, more social event is still great vs a bigger, higher attendance event where I feel pressure to plan, coordinate and do things. It was just nice to show up, make some food, and hang.

Okay dammit, enough salt, thank you very much.
I am, er, was well aware of it (which @clarkman can confirm). Seemed to be a good deal, but still more than I can find in my couch cushions, and located a full day's drive away.
And, so far as I can tell, it was available for a week or so.
Anyway. Yeah.

Jerry’s food deserves its own thread of recognition. Best camp food I’ve ever had, but the dinner last night was crazy! Gorged ourselves on a feast, then Jerry showed up with round two: 5 gallons of seafood boil.

Oh, and Evan’s right. “Your mom” is hot but full-bodied—one of the best homemade hot sauces I’ve had.
