What does it look like?Where's the samsquanch poop ?
Kinda what I was saying in my post a page or so back. With infrared, drones, and a long list of other technologies; we have the means of finding SOMETHING. I can't imagine an 8' tall ape is that good a hiding, but I'm often (usually) wrong about things.Genetic analysis of hair samples attributed to yeti, bigfoot and other anomalous primates - PMC
In the first ever systematic genetic survey, we have used rigorous decontamination followed by mitochondrial 12S RNA sequencing to identify the species origin of 30 hair samples attributed to anomalous primates. Two Himalayan samples, one from ...pmc.ncbi.nlm.nih.gov
My personal stance on the earth cryptids- if we can find a Coelacanth (multiple, even) in a massive ocean but can't find a bigfoot in an ever-dwindling and comparatively tiny 2D space...there ain't no bigfoot.
I've had similar hair on the neck, knowing I was probably being watched or stalked. There was the time I was hiking to Irely Lake north of Lake Quinault and the hair on the back of my neck stood up. I had this strange feeling I was being watched. Didn't think of Bigfoot; I thought there might be a cougar lurking around. Not terribly wise, but I turned around and went looking for it, thinking I might spook it into moving so that I could gain sight of whatever it was. Never saw a thing, not even tracks. But I did one time see a cougar disappear into brushy forest in about 2 seconds without a sound. So it coulda' been. Or maybe I got that eery feeling for no good reason; I'll never know.
If aliens had technology to reach us... Imagine how easy it would be for them to wipe us out.I have plenty of room in my belief system to allow for the existence of Samsquanch, UFO's and alien beings.
Just haven't seen enough concrete evidence of their existence to make me believe.
I'm sort of hoping for the aliens though, be nice if their was an advanced life form that could teach humans.

Meh...If aliens had technology to reach us... Imagine how easy it would be for them to wipe us out.
That's the thing, they have no use for us. They'd want our minerals and resources.Meh...
If they had that technology, there's nothing we could do, so I don't even think about it.
Besides, what are the odds a highly developed civilization would even bother with a bunch of lowlife (forms) like homo sapiens anyways ?
It's not likely we have much to offer, more likely much to learn.
Being wiped out by aliens isn't on my bingo card for this lifetime...maybe next time though.
Mossbacks Paradox
Aliens don't visit us 'cuz we're too damn stupid and not worth the effort to travel through a wormhole and visit. Word's out in the Universe, nice planet, bad population of bipeds, designated no-go zone.
Change my mind.

There's definitely the bad aliens that want to wipe us out and take our rocks. But there are also the type that just want to put things in our butts.Well assuming we have the type of resources and minerals they want of course, there's still nothing that we could do, if they are malevolent in their intentions and highly advanced. Unless they succumb to respiratory viruses ( assuming they breathe air) like other, less fortunate civilizations here, or can't otherwise function in our environment, we're probably out of luck.
I guess there's an assumption (or projection) that any aliens who would come here would be bad aliens, with evil intent.
No actual reason for that view IMHO...but it does seem to be the prevalent one, given all the literature, TV, movies with that as a premise.
That's messed up man. That crazy dude is just messing with people. No way he's shooting at multiple people because he thinks they're Bigfoot. Better lock that one up before he feeds someone to his pigs. Not for lack of effort...
Probably safer to work on the assumption their wants and needs are not mutually exclusive. There's definitely the bad aliens that want to wipe us out and take our rocks. But there are also the type that just want to put things in our butts.
They are obviously good at hiding, or we would have good pictures of them. Q.E.D.Kinda what I was saying in my post a page or so back. yeah, exactly, for every Mork there's like 100 malevolent aliens. Plus Mork was actually exiled from Ork because he was funny. I would think there is a pretty solid shot that aliens that can navigate space and time must excel at observation, prediction, math and so on. To get here there would need to be some trial and error, so they also know tragedy and if they know tragedy, they know it's twin, comedy. These guys are probably comedic geniuses. Slapstick, wit, observational humor, satire, sitcom, dad and fart jokes- they know it. The question in my mind would be if the comedy translates.I guess there's an assumption (or projection) that any aliens who would come here would be bad aliens, with evil intent.
