I suggest some in lime green/chartreuse.
That is the other color I have planned. Was thinking some white marabou flash fly hybrid for trout/dollies too. Works well in the lower 48 for trout. Probably plain white bunny ESLs would work just as well though.

Consider some in somewhat more drab colors as well. I also had luck with some coppery/rootbeery Kreelex flies, as a change-up when the coho stopped biting hot pink or green on every other cast.

Awesome! I have some more good drab colors of flash I can use. Planning on similar colors in clousers too. Nice to give my nose a break from the bunny. haha

Swinging back to the synthetic side. Here’s his video if you’re interested; don’t have one of the fancy foam body cutters (unlike Walter, I don’t have 300 dozen of them to tie this season), but 3 seconds with scissors works well enough for the trout I’ll find.

hook - Sierra 2312bl #10
thread - Uni 6/0 tan
underbody - Starburst Dubbing tan
body/underwing/head - 2mm foam tan
wing - Congo Hair Shiner Tan
legs - medium rubber corn snake
indicator - 1mm foam orange

One of my trips to AK this year I’m staying at a house on a lake I believe holds pike. I’ll have access to a pram and a canoe and will be giving them a shot. I have no idea what they like to eat fly wise. Never fished for them before. Looked at some Google images and came up with this….

And another chum fry pattern. I think I have 1-2 of about 20 different chum fry patterns now :). Time to start fishing them!

Probably made these a bit too big and long.
Added teal krystal flash to one so it could double as either a chum or pink fry.
I’m going to drag these behind the gurgler. I need to burn a day and leave the intermediate at home and see what I can get to come up for that combo.
