Not to sidetrack but why are automakers even allowed to produce passenger vehicles and light trucks with this kind of horsepower???
A couple of nights a go I watched a stock 707hp Cherokee totally blow the doors off of a highly modified '66 Nova in the 1/4 mile.

I've wondered the same, but there are quite a few models that offer that horsepower or more.
I will admit thought, I still love the sound of a throaty V8.

Forrrrrrr? what? An electric vehicle doesn't draw power when it's sitting idle. If I left my car in one spot, heater on, not doing anything else, it would last for several days.
The heater doesn’t draw any power?
What happens if you don’t have a full charge and get caught in that situation?

Not everyone is a prepared as you.

It does draw power, just very little. Even at half a charge or less, the heater isn't going to drain your battery in a few hours of traffic. You could make the same argument about idling a gas rig and running out of gas to run the heater. It's pretty minimal. Like I said, even if I just have a regular amount of juice, above 50%, I could still last at least a day, probably more if I drop the heat down a few notches.

I get it. I run in to people all the time who want electric vehicles to be a failure. But they're just not nearly as scary or terrible as many want them to be.

This...
Electric is going to be the way of the near term future, until something else comes along.
Manufacturers will be loving the lack of parts needed for the engine assembly.

I’ve read that when automobiles firs came on the scene a lot of folks still with their horse and buggy hated them. Damned things scared the horses!
Change is hard …
My great grand father came over from Denmark on a steamship started farming with horses, lived to see a man walk on the moon. The one thing I remember about him is when he said the old days were not that great, modernization is a back saver.

Just released today for the Euro market, a longer version for the US market is supposed to be available here in 2024. They mentioned in the article that there may be a camper version too.

.......but how many friends can you make with Lite Beer?
Seems like I remember you sucking one or two of my 'Silver Sissies' down after our hike out of a lake on a warm day.:ROFLMAO:

For a great many things (most especially medically related issues) the only good thing about the 'good old days' is that they're gone.

My mother-in-law was embarrassed because she had to ride her horse to school. There isn't a young school girl living today who wouldn't love that opportunity.
