NFR National Filet Mignon Day

That is a bit different. :) My brother is also left handed , but bats right, but I think about everything else he does left handed . I’m not sure I could even hit a nail on the head hammering right handed , or use a screwdriver.
Having been born in 1949 my guess is that I would have been more left handed if it wasn't for the right handed design of most everything at that time.

I was just jesting about my "struggles" as a lefty .. Archery taught me about the dominate eye and dominate side relationship. I required a left handed bow, my dominate eye is the left one. Most folks have the dominant eye on the right side. ( easy google search to see what yours is) some folks are cross dominate. I never knew that lefties had their own day.... 8/13..who knew?

Lefty Kreh and Lefty's Deceiver (was honored on a postage stamp). Nothing better than that...

What are you guys replying on what hand you use on a MEAT thread?

Jimi never reversed his strings, played a right handed guitar left handed...having started to experiment with jazz fusion shortly before his death, can only imagine where Jimi could have taken us over the following decades if he was still with us.

"probably why I ended up about 60% left and 40% right"...think that well describes many of us

Pretty sure Jimi reversed the string order. Seen it in a hundred pictures.

Being born in 1947 , I just went along with life ,never noticed much about being left handed other than the obvious most were right handed . I was raised in northern Montana . Definitely wasn't a big city environment , possibly I just adapted to whatever , not knowing or noticing .We talked about scissors ,thats another thing that I don't remember having an issue , just used them with my right hand , possibly it felt more comfortable or like was mentioned , they didn't work right left handed . I don't know at the time when I started using scissors in school or whatever if I "had" to make the switch to right handed . One thing I do is switch my hand on rare occasions when casting when my left shoulder starts bothering me , I will make a few casts with my right ,but switch the rod right back to my left to mend ,and strip with my right . This only happens on a long day of casting a fly rod .

We need to take a poll , before reading this thread I had no idea lefties did this 60- 40 thing . :)

Yes Jimmy reversed the strings, as he was well known for playing the low E notes with his thumb, something I always struggled with and gave up trying to do.

Jimi did restring right handed strats to play left handed…and had a slightly different tone due to pickup pole configuration having the strings reversed…

yea, color me confused, he re-strung with the low E on top...having lived neck deep in the 60's, it is likely why I often find myself wrong but never unconvinced'
