I'm a lucky guy. Every July, I get to stay with my brother and his friends in Craig, MT and fish the Missouri. This year the cloudy weather created great dry fly fishing.
The 'bows and browns are big and picky. They settle into to shallow water and gulp the wide variety of tiny bugs floating by. Caddis, pmds, teeny pseudos and trikes. All stages of the hatch are in play, and the challenge is deciphering what a particular fish is eating and making a good presentation. This is the kinda place where people make the 20/20 club. I had to create my own catagory...20 inch brown a on size 19 cripple. Cloudy drizzly weather makes it way easier!

If they wind isn't too strong, I fish my Lami s-glass 8' 4 wt.

The river is jammed full of nice strong 'bows in the 16-19" range. I didn't get a good picture of a real pretty one but you can see some of the nice scenery in this pic...
