My Dad was a knife guy, he always had a pocket knife on him, he kept everything sharp including Mom's kitchen knifes. Guess it was instinctive as he was a machinist and sharp cutters, bits & drills work better.
I still carry his old hunting knife during deer/elk season. It's a Western Cutlery fixed blade belt knife he picked up in Denver on his way from Missouri while heading to Seattle in the 1940s.
Here it is with his hand tooled sheath. I keep it razor sharp & good2go
