Yeti Water Bottles

Yeti stuff just works. I work and play a lot in the desert and have been using their stuff for years for just that reason.

I joked with my wife that the french press would be a nice thing to get with the REI dividend. Something I would probably never buy, but the dividend seems like free money. How does it compare to the aeropress? We use that in our trailer and when traveling. Is the Yeti more messy?

I like that! My in-laws gave me a coffee mug a while ago that I really like. As for stickers, they go on the garage cabinets instead of my truck and other things.
I’m a fan of one thoughtfully placed sticker on my personal items, see exhibit B below.

It'll probably just be like any other French Press. AeroPress is nice because you can just pop the puck out and call it a day. French press it's a bit tougher to get all the grounds out and requires some rinsing. Both make a great cup of coffee, just a bit different in the overall flavor profile in the end.

I like and use both quite a bit (I don't have the Yeti press though). One nice thing about a French Press is you can make a couple cups of coffee at once vs the AeroPress' very limited capacity.

Haven’t tried the french press yet as it’ll mostly be for camping but can report back. We got it to replace a Liquid Planet one that lasted about 20 yrs. Agree on the REI dividends, we put almost all our household expenses on one of their credit cards and litterally go on a family shopping spree once a year. I always look forward to that day.

Guess I just don't understand. I simply adapted to drinking water at whatever the ambient temperature happens to be. Comes in handy when backpacking in the desert especially. I reuse bottles like Smart or Essentia that cost a dollar and use them until they crack and then recycle.

Oh I'm the same. I never put ice in my water. Like said before, my love of the Yeti water bottles has nothing to do with their ability to hold temps. I just like their lid designs and ergonomics far more than the others.

Same here on water. I like the Yeti coolers in the hot weather though. I am also getting spoiled when snowshoeing or xc skiing and having hot tea all day.

My kids would lose them the first time they left the house with them.
Thankfully kinder and 1st grade classrooms come to know what belongs to the kids as seven year old Keiji forgets something twice a week 😉

My kids have special powers for losing things, especially water bottles. Also, the newer it is, and if we have not remembered to write their name on it yet, that just increases the rapidity with which the item shall be lost.

I don’t know how I ever made it out of childhood without a water bottle. Oh that’s right, we used water fountains (or the hose) and drank these:
