Yakima next week

Thinking of fishing the Yakima next week. Start at Bullfrog and then head into the canyon. Just a walk and wade trip. Got my goto fly boxes ready to go.

Talked to one of the fly shops and fishing is good, nymphing! I'll bring a bamboo or two and my 6wt for nymphing.

Thinking of next Tuesday if anyone wants to meet over there.

Good luck. Make sure to stop for a corn dog at the top of the pass and get that gals number this time after you buy her a corn dog. 😉

If I go Tuesday, I'm not sure the corn dog joint is open.. although since skiing is open, maybe it is. At times it's closed on Monday's and Tuesdays...

I can't recall a time when any of the Yakima shops said the fishing is poor. It's always good fishing on the Yak according to the shops, just throw a turd and worm 3 feet under a bobber above the canyon, 4 feet under a bobber in the canyon, and prepare to rope hogs.

I know.. I was really just calling to find out if there was and W I N D, or make sure that TRAVERS hadn't farted!

And for water clarity! I've done this a few times.. or a few thousand times.. well, 10k or so!

And I know a lot of the guys or just give them a recent report. I prefer to go in, buy a few flies that I don't need and leaders, which I currently do need.. nah, I'll just tie up some leaders... but in general they will give you a "it's all GOOD!" report.. unless you're FlyBill.. secret agent, fly fisher and rules with an iron fish.. well, an awesome corndog at least...

Unfortunately I'll have to use a boat. Can't walk that long. But if I get drifter ready, or you can run a single boat, I'll be able to do that soon.
