Spain completely dominated, they deserved to win. Gave up 1 goal over the entire tournament. It wasn't just a defensive style, they dominated possession and consistently pushed the ball forward. They were the aggressors, didn't just sit back in a defensive shell and wait for a break, they pushed. And they are quite young, with 2 teenagers. Might beat tough to be in 4 years. Wonder what the early line is?

Congrats Spain, well deserved win. Dibu Martinez, Argentina goalkeeper was amazing, breaking the all time World Cup record for saves (11 !) in a final game. Very hard to repeat a championship, last time was in 1962! Seems The end of an era for an Argentina team who won it all from 2021 to today, 2 Copas América, Finalissima against Italy, 2022 World Cup. All that after a dry spell from 1993 to 2021. Time for a rebuild. Congrats to both teams for a great World Cup. Now 4 years of waiting!!!!!!

Yeah that wasn’t the one I meant but that one was questionable to me too, but even after the replay for that one. In the replay with the animated line allegedly showing the offside position for the call, the defender’s elbow was sticking over the line too!

That was an interesting match up of teams, players and strategies!
