I don't disagree that's why all my comments have been " not entirely about money "
We need a system that engages kids and makes them want to learn and to some degree forces they to learn or fail. I was passed on classes I should have failed because teachers were too sympathetic. My doing a poor job was not their fault but passing me was their fault.

50 cent increase in not modest.

I for one am doing absolutely nothing to prevent carbon emissions and I feel absolutely no guilt for it.. Why? Because it is not a moral issue.
If the government tried to change the weather so that it rained more you can guarantee it would never rain again.

To survive as a nation we need more power generation including more less expensive gasoline. Simply put.. We do not have the capacity in our electrical grid for everyone to have EVs. Until we do, we need cheap gas.
Ohh and as far as the climate goes. If the climate is changing, I assume it is , our most prudent course of action is to prepare our people for a warmer climate not penalize them for trying to survive because somehow we think we can stop the climate from changing..

You know what's even more tied to ALL of our fishing, and everything else? Climate change. But it's clear that we, a cross section of people from all walks of life with at least fly fishing in common, can't talk about that because it's become political and we just can't help ourselves from the mud slinging. Just look at the last thread that got locked, and all the rest before.

Backup plan: Costco rotisserie chicken - been $4.99 for 12 years now. Great source of protein, and relatively easy on the wallet.
Your tea sounds delicious BTW.

There was an entire thread about how it hasn't rained in 5 months that went pretty smooth. Policy discussions get peeps fired up though, don't they. 🤷‍♂️

We actually eliminated some steps in our contract for certain positions because they were paid less than state minimum wage. Overpaid county workers and all.

Satire Rob, satire. I want a river of oil and fuel flowing in every town. I contend cheap gas is what made America great. A society on a large land mass who worship the automobile.
