body - bleached hare’s ear

shoulder - bleached pheasant rump
collar - bleached pheasant aftershaft (loop dubbed)

The collar of the muddler head is tied in a dubbing loop, with ice dub sandwiching the deer hair. Certainly overcomplicating things, but that's the fun part.

Thank you, and no, the rabbit strip is only tied in near the head end of the fly. The hide doesn't extend past the bend of the hook, hopefully preventing fouling.

I was thinking with this heat I would head downstream and throw this, muddlers and jiggy craws for things with spines, but I should try carp too. Not very experienced in either of those. Whenever I think of where to go I just get pulled into the mountains to fish for little trouts.
