What's in your vise?

Question for you fly tiers. Golden pheasant tippet has a dull side and a bright orange side. I find it very difficult to fold the fibers so that the bright side is showing without misaligning the tips. Is there a reliable way to have the bright side showing on both sides of the fly?

i just fold the slip of tippets
 
I’ve seen some patterns where they use two pieces. Bright side out on both sides of the hook..

Throat - Orange hackle

Cheeks - Jungle cock (optional)

Carp are starting to show up here in the lowest reaches of the Columbia. Over the past several years we have spent a lot of time just across the bridge on the Oregon side chasing carp when the cutthroat fishing slows down! Last weekend we were able to find a few and with all this warm weather its just going to get better! Boxes are ready to rock and Pete shared a new youtube tying tutorial!
