A friend mentioned @Nick Clayton rubber leg clouser. This is a bit different and I’ve had this on my mind, so I tied one up today.
High tie clouser with some rubber legs for the wing. Hopefully the legs move well.

Based on a suspender version; I’d probably need to tie it on a longer shank hook to get the back end down and have it hang off the front. Also, as it turned out, I could have spun more deer hair for the head, but this should float reasonably well.

hook - WFC Model 6 #10
thread - SemperFli Nano Silk 30d black
shuck - indicator yarn hot orange
rib - H2O Twist tan
body - hare’s ear dubbing
shoulder - hen pheasant body feather
collar/head - deer hair
post - 2mm foam tan (folded)

Regards,
Scott

Yep, Christmas morning dreaming of the river. As for the body on this one, I found some old muskrat in my materials. I just tied a thin strip on, on the leather haha. Laid down super glue first. Might cast like shit but I suspect they’ll chew on it. They probably don’t get muskrat that often and it might be a nice change of pace from all the rabbit and fowl.

One more winter swinger in my favorite color scheme...
