First attempts at sardines. Got a ways to go. Just started trying to tie flies last year

I'd tie some in all white in case your guide recommends blanco. Another nice thing about all white patterns is that they can be customized on the water. 3 Prismacolor pens in olive, tan, and aqua should cover the basics.

Edit: Pens work. Found a pic of the mullet pattern I caught my PB rooster on (pic is just tied). Added a bit more olive on the water per my guides suggestion. Shortly thereafter exploding my favorite 10wt.

hook - WFC Model 3 #12
thread - SemperFli 8/0 tan
shuck/underwing - Congo Hair shiner tan
body - bleached rabbit
wing - deer hair
