I've been in a heck of a tying slump since tearing out our floors a few months back.

This led to a whole damn remodel more or less and the tying stuff stacked in the garage.

I'm back! This big craw jig did a lot of work last year. I intend to have a full box of this style in various colors. I almost always have one tied on and my fishing friends can attest to the fish catching ability.

I have two varieties. One with two strips of squirrel out the back and this new version with the @SpawnFlyFish tails. These are just deadly and super durable.

gross!

so gross, that I love it! I need to incorporate something other than just baitfish patterns into my bass rotation....although, I seem to do ok with them....always room to expand the repertoire.

Although I call it a craw jig, this color combo in particular I think they also take as a baitfish. The spawn tails don't look like much until they get wet, then they get that yummy look and movement.

Breaking my slump with my first tarpon toad tied on a 2/0 Owner Aki which is smaller than you might think. I tied it with what I have on hand. I need some different colors of EP fiber /congo hair.
