I agree with Pat! Love it. Can you please provide a recipe or instructions? Also, do you fish it on floating or sinking line?
Thanks. Sorry it has been a while since I checked this site. You had me confused for a sec - my name is Patrick :).

I fish it on a floating line with a 12+ foot fluoro leader.

Size 12 200R hook
marabou tail
vrib or copper wire - last year I used copper wire. This year I am trying some with both.
ostrich hurl body
mallard legs
the commercial ones (picky fish damsel) have mono eyes
I trim the foam on 3 sides to form a little arrowhead for the tie in. The foam extends forward after tie in. This is the trickiest part - it helps to put a crease in the foam with your fingernail to give the tread something to grab.
superfine dubbing over the foam tie in
fold the foam back and tie off
trim the foam to about mid body then cut the "wings" if you want

Perfect. Thank you, Patrick Canoe Guy!

I don't tie many changers, but when I do I try to keep it to 4 or 5 segments max. I also tied this on an Ahrex minnow hook 1/0 in case I wanted to use it in the salt. No eyes = intentional (can always add later); basically one color = intentional (can always add color later too). Primarily for bass, but I like having options.

Good idea…I keep forgetting to bring a sharpie or two on my trips…like the one I’m on now.

I had a smaller white changer on a trip to the Green…my guide had an olive & pink marker in his boat bag and made it look like a juvie’bow…worked like a charm…

Oh man, copic markers are your best friend! A bit spendier than sharpies, but hold for longer.

My first attempts at some 2/0 EP Peanut Butters for MX. I can’t tell if they are sparse enough or if I like the shape. Obviously I need to add eyes, but I’m thinking about maybe using Spawn heads. Any thoughts from more experienced people?View attachment 118669
I was told for Mag bay in November the sardines have blue backs. Some pink also. 4 to 6 inches. But have no actual experience.

In June on the Cortez side, it was light green to olive backs, just on the top.

A slider intended as a crippled bluegill imitation. Smaller than I usually like for bass at 2 3/4 inches, but we will see. Sometimes they don't seem to want a lot of commotion. A bass fly with no rubber legs seems wrong, but I have hope.
